- All Cabrillo users have a 7-digit college ID and corresponding password. If you are not sure what your College ID number is, please contact the Welcome Center or email webreg@cabrillo.edu.
- Account information and password changes are managed in Okta.
- Students can use their College ID accounts to sign in to campus computers in classrooms and in the Computer Technology Center at both Aptos and Watsonville campuses, and to connect to the hawknet wifi networks.
- Accounts are NOT active during semester breaks, and are valid only for students registered for the current term.
- Access is via your 7-digit college ID number and password.
- Staff, Faculty, Student Employees, Volunteers, and other employees also have a Cabrillo network username and password.
- This account has a separate username and password and is used for employee purposes. Some applications are linked between the two accounts, but others (such as Gmail) must be used with the network account. Employees should use this account for all Cabrillo business.
- You cannot be signed-in to more than one account in Okta simultaneously. If you have both a College ID account and a Cabrillo Network account and need to edit your account information or change your password, you will need to use an incognito window in your web browser, or ensure you are signed into the correct account.
To set a password on your account for the first time, or reset your password if you have forgotten it:
- Navigate to the Okta sign-in page (cabrillo.okta.com) and click “Forgot Password?”
- Enter your 7-digit college ID number.
- You will be able to send a verification email to your recovery email address. The recovery email will be sent to BOTH your Cabrillo student email (collegeID@cabrillo.edu) and your personal address, even if only one is displayed. Select “Send me an email”.
- If you have entered a recovery phone number in your Okta dashboard, you’ll be able to use that instead.
- Your recovery email address is synced from the personal email you entered when applying to Cabrillo. You can update it in Cabrillo Self Service.
- If you have recently changed your email address in Self Service, please wait at least one hour before attempting to change your password.
- When you receive the email, click "Reset password" in the email message, or enter the verification code into the Okta webpage.
- If you don't see the email, please check your spam folder. The email will be sent from noreply@okta.com.
- After verifying, you’ll be able to create a new password for your account.
If you have issues resetting your password:
- If you select “Send me an email” and you do not receive an email from Okta, you may need to change the email address on file in your account.
- If you have issues initiating the password recovery process or need technical assistance, please contact the CTC.
