Effective July 20, 2026, account credentials will no longer be distributed through the manual process, including hard-copy delivery or communication over the phone.
After all required approvals and account provisioning steps have been completed, a Welcome Email will be automatically sent to the employee's non-institutional (personal) email address on file on their start date. This email will provide instructions for activating their account and completing the account setup process. Account activation and password reset processes require a valid and up-to-date secondary/personal email address on file.
Credential Delivery and Account Setup Process
Step 1: Receive Welcome Email
On the employee's start date, an account activation email will be sent to the employee's personal (non-institutional) email address. Please monitor your personal email account, including Spam and Junk folders.
Step 2: Activate Your Account
Open the welcome email and select Activate Okta Account.
Step 3: Complete Account Setup
Follow the instructions provided through the activation link and complete the New Account Activation Process.

- New employees: Contact Human Resources to verify your personal email address on file is accurate.
- Existing employees: Verify your personal email address by reviewing your Self Service user profile.
